‘Dani Dee School of Dance’ is a dance school that has been established for over 12years based in Swansea, specialising in Street, Hip Hop and other Contemporary Dance styles.
We take pride in the fact that our aim is to improve and nurture our students technique and confidence, by trying to give them the opportunity to learn many styles of street dance through our range of fully qualified and experienced teachers and through the workshops we hold taught by outstanding, inspiring, famous dancers/choreographers.
‘Street Dance’ is a fusion of many styles including hip hop, locking, popping, house, krumping, jazz, waacking, commercial, contemporary and other forms of popular dance. You will mostly see these styles in pop videos and live concerts. It is an ever increasing popular style of dance with television shows such as ‘Britain’s Got Talent’, ‘Got to Dance’ etc showing the creativity, energy and discipline of these styles, with winners such as George Sampson, Diversity, Akai and Twist and Pulse.

NEW CLASSES AT ‘THE VILLAGE’ SA1. – Our newest classes taught by ‘Kirsty-Lee Jones’ are proving very popular and only have a few spaces left. Contact Dani for more info.
BOYS ONLY CLASSES – We have formed two new boys only hip hop class which starts from age 6-9yrs and 10yrs+. The boys will benefit from this class as they will learn breakdance also. Once we have an established group they will enter competitions and be available for more shows, the same as the performance groups.
BREAKDANCE CLASSES – We have classes which teaches all the basics up to advanced level of breakdance taught by our award winning ‘B-boy Pink’ Ricky George.
All our teachers are fully qualified, crb checked, first aid trained and we are fully insured. Any of these details are available upon request.
We have classes for all age groups (divided into age groups 3yrs up), with classes occuring 5 days a week in the evenings. Please refer to our timetable page. We have three performance groups, a new under 10′s team (Diamond Dolls), an under 14′s team (Destruction) and our under 18′s (Tru Femme) which take part in competitions , festivals etc. which students can audition for. We also have an ‘All Star’ team ‘The Collective’. This is for the more dedicated.
We also offer workshops for Primary and Comprehensive schools at reasonable prices. Previous schools include Olchfa Comprehensive, Sketty Primary, Parklands Primary, Penyrheol Primary and Glyncollen Primary School.
We hold annual shows which include performances at the Taliesin Theatre, Swansea, Penyrheol Theatre,Townhill Theatre, Princess Royal, Port Talbot, Sketty School fete, Dunvant Carnival, Brynmill Park official opening, Pontardawe Arts Festival and a sold out successful show in February 2009 ‘The Grand Theatre’, Swansea with our Hip Hop musical ‘Teenage Love Affair’ written by ‘Zoe Murphy. It had an excellent review in the ‘Swansea Evening Post’ where over 250 children/adults took part.
Leading up to each show we now bring in famous professional dancers/choreographers to teach compulsory workshops which then goes towards a finale dance in each show. This will be an extra expense but it is instead of forking out a fortune on costumes as we feel the main aim is to improve and inspire them as dancers.
